Naveen Vankadari

Dr. Naveen Vankadari, is a Research Fellow and part of Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute and Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. Naveen received his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Cell Biology from Academia Sinica and National Defence Medical Center in Taiwan in 2016. Dr. Naveen was also worked as a senior research office in R&D of MerckMillpore Bio-Tech industry in the area of Molecular Microbiology. He is expert in X-ray crystallography, Cryo-Electron microscopy and several molecular tools. His research work at Monash University, Australia, is principally focused on structural & functional aspects of viral and bacterial proteins involved in infection and challenging human immunity. It has important implications for understanding the disease progression in human and provide hints towards its regulation. His current work is dedicated to unravelling the mechanism of novel coronavirus COVID-19 infection mode and also published several high profile articles on this research. He also received several grants and awards in academic and industrial research. Naveen is also a reviewer of several Q1 journals in the related field and a fellow of JSPS, ASBMB-USA, Biophysical Society of Taiwan.
