Jilong Qin
Jilong Qin has been awarded a Doctorate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Adelaide in 2020, in which he studied Shigella autotransporter IcsA with the research group led by A/Prof. Renato Morona. He joined A/Prof. Makrina Totsika Group in early 2020 to study the functional heterogeneity of type 1 fimbriae adhesin FimH among the recently emerged multi-drug resistant ST131 lineages. His research interest is in the interactions between bacterial adhesins and host cell surfaces, bacterial cell envelope and lipopolysaccharides.
